This utility was developed by the National Concrete Masonry Association to perform various engineering design calculations associated with segmental retaining walls.
SRWall
SRWall is a specialized Windows tool oriented toward professional construction engineers. It allows users to evaluate the structural integrity of segmental retaining walls (SRWs) by taking into account all relevant factors.
Calculations
After starting the software you can enter basic project information such as the height of the wall, soil parameters and seismic load to generate a design report. It will include all required data like the type of concrete blocks to use, necessary reinforcements and other construction details.
Please note that the free trial version of SRWall will stop functioning 30 days after installation. There are other applications for designing complex engineering projects such as Road Estimator.
About SRWs
Segmental retaining walls are made up of individual blocks that are stacked on top of each other and interlocked for additional stability. These structures are typically used to create bridge abutments, terraces and erosion control walls.
The program contains a library of more than 200 conventional and soil reinforced SRW variants. Users are able to customize each template to better fit their requirements. Resulting designs meet all applicable safety codes and can be easily implemented into a larger construction project.
