SprutCAM is a Windows utility that lets users create and modify 3D models of industrial equipment. It is possible to design projects for milling hardware with up to 5 axes. Multiple machining methods and strategies can be implemented. Please note that SprutCAM requires a paid license to continue using it after the 30-day evaluation period.

Design process

You are able to import 2D and 3D objects from popular programs such as AutoCAD or Blender. Supported file formats include IGES, DXF, STL, VRML and 3DM. Imported models can be rotated, resized and distorted to better fit your needs.

There are built-in 2D parametric drafting tools. It is possible to project complex 3D objects onto a plane and create detailed blueprints. Users can generate patterns for engraving or pocketing.

Machining parameters

This application provides flexible instruments for planning and optimizing manufacturing processes. You are able to set up a sequence of operations like roughing, finishing, rest milling and hole drilling. Every process can be further customized to change the default depth of cut, step-over distance, cutting tool type, speed and other attributes.
