Sound Solution is a Winamp plugin for Windows. It is intended for normalizing the audio signal and adjusting the frequency thresholds.

Setup process

This utility comes in the form of a self-extracting archive. It is necessary to unpack it into the Plugins folder in the main Winamp directory. After restarting the application a new plugin will appear in the DSP/Effect category.

What it does

Users are able to prepare the music for broadcasting or CD recording with the help of this tool. There are settings to limit the frequency bands to ensure that they will not interfere with the adjacent channels. Dynamic range of the sound can be narrowed to avoid excessive media saturation.

Interface

The main window consists of several sections with equalizers and other controls. Dual-band compressor limiter with the ratio, clipper and threshold sliders is provided. Additionally, bass frequency and gain can be tuned.

There are buttons for automatically compressing or expanding the sound stage. Overall volume level and density overdrive parameters are adjustable as well. Test tone option allows you to preview the changes before processing the file.

Up to five configuration presets can be saved for quick processing of multiple similar tracks.
