SoMachine Basic is a program for Windows that gives you the ability to develop projects for Modicon M221 and Modicon M221 Book logic controllers. What is more, it is possible to convert applications created on TwidoSuite and TwidoSoft.

Comprehensive GUI

The graphical user interface is well-organized, so that you can quickly get started working on your project. Thanks to intuitive and visual navigation, the GUI is optimized for selecting the development cycle stage of the project, namely Properties, Configuration, Programming, Display, and Commissioning. Each screen is divided into three zones, such as a Selection tree, an Editor area and a Product reference catalog.

Develop programs

The Project management function allows you to create a new project or open an existing one from the computer, CD disk, USB flash drive or other portable storage device. You also have the option to retrieve projects from M221 logic controllers. Alternatively, you may start a project based on a provided template.

By default, the program is organized in Program Organization Units. These sections consist of RUNGs to simplify both reading and navigation within the project. The POUs are associated with various tasks of the app, including master, periodic, and events. Please note that the project was superseded by the next iteration of the tool called EcoStruxure Machine Expert Basic, and thus is no longer available for download.
