SmoothVideo Project is a Windows utility for increasing the framerate in movies and video clips using advanced algorithms to determine the most appropriate interpolation method. There is an integrated multimedia player.

What it does

This program is intended for improving the viewing experience by smoothing out videos with low framerate. It intelligently interpolates additional frames to achieve the best possible results in real time.

Supported third party media applications include VLC Media Player, Emby Theater, Plex and Whirligig VR. Alternatively, users can open video files in the provided player.

Profile customization

You are able to choose the output framerate from the drop down menu in the main window. There is a slider for adjusting the resulting image quality as well. Moreover, buttons for automatically optimizing the profile for either film or animated content are included.

Users can crop the movie and alter the aspect ratio. The output frame size is customizable as well. This functionality is helpful for adapting various types of content to the target display.
