Slam is a program for Windows that offers you the means to share sounds with your friends over the in-built communication system of games based on the Source engine. Thanks to the application’s simple design, you can start broadcasting right away.
Main capabilities
The utility does not require installation on a computer, so you can simply double-click the executable to launch it. The next step is to import audio files. Please note that you may use a considerable amount of media formats, including WAV, AAC, WMA, MP4, AVI, M4V and others. Alternatively, you have the option to upload tracks by pasting their YouTube URL link.
Simple configuration
In order to use the uploaded sound effects while playing online, you need to select the play key, the default is X. Then, you can launch the Source title of your choice, namely Counter Strike Global Offensive or Team Fortress 2. These products are available for purchase via Steam online marketplace.
The next step is to join any match with enabled voice chat and open the developer console. Here you can write exec slam to start the program. After listing all of your imported sounds, you may choose which one you want to play by either writing the number it has on the list or any of its tags.
