sketchyphysics

SketchyPhysics is a Windows application that is necessary for integrating an extension into the popular SketchUp 3D graphics editor. It allows users to add various physical properties such as mass, friction and elasticity to custom models.

Simulation

After installing the plugin you can access it via the corresponding menu in the main graphics editor. There are instruments for configuring physical attributes of individual models and calculating interactions between them.

An option to connect separate objects with customizable joints is provided. This functionality is helpful for creating hinges, springs and pulleys. Users are able to preview changes in real time.

SketchyPhysics utilizes the Box2D physics engine for simulating interactions between the objects. The plugin is open source and available on GitHub for free.
