SimplePress is a Windows extension for the popular WordPress website builder. It lets you design and configure custom forum boards. Private messaging is fully supported.

Forum creation

The add on provides instruments for adjusting the color scheme and font parameters to better match the design of the main website. Users can create multiple sections for conversations about different topics. Like in phpBB, it is possible to add custom fields and BBCodes to individual pages.

You are able to keep track of the number of registered accounts, created topics and posted replies. This is helpful for identifying and promoting popular conversations.

Moderation

There are instruments for restricting access to certain topics. Administrators can delete inappropriate messages and ban spam accounts. An option to create a blacklist with forbidden words and automatically hide violating posts is available. Additionally, it is easy to moderate shared photos, video clips, text documents and other files.

Users can send private messages to other accounts. This way they can communicate with friends directly. Tools for blocking specific people to prevent spam attempts are included.
