Sidewinder Central is a program for Windows developed to help you customize and manage your SideWinder game controllers. It provides advanced features for adjusting button assignments and force feedback settings.

Apply device settings

One of the standout aspects of this software is its ability to save your gamepad settings as schemes instead of profiles. You can convert the former to the latter, but not the other way around. There is also support for printing schemes as well as macro playback options.

The Profile Activator and Editor components have been merged. Now, you are able to create and manage schemes, adjust device settings, and test buttons on your game controller within the Control Panel. This streamlines overall user experience.

Custom game schemes

In previous versions, the settings that you defined were global. This means that they applied to any active profile for a controller. In the current version, these parameters are specific to a particular scheme and stored within. To customize modern Microsoft gamepads, you may try an app like Xbox Accessories.

It is important to point out that deleting a scheme permanently removes it from your hard drive. However, you may reinstall the predefined configurations. To do this, you need to run the Setup file from the compact disc and pick the corresponding option.
