SideSync is a Windows software that lets users work with Samsung phones from a PC. There are tools for downloading files from a device and taking screenshots.

Main purpose

This program allows you to display the phone screen on a desktop and control the mobile operating system with a keyboard and mouse. It is possible to create notes and reply to text messages from the PC. Moreover, you can make calls using the desktop microphone and headphones.

Users are able to copy any files from the device to the computer and vice versa. It is recommended to utilize a USB connection for transferring movies and other large items. Users can download Samsung PC Studio for a more robust file sharing solution.

Connecting the devices

There is a mobile version of SideSync that has to be installed on the phone. It is necessary to turn on wi-fi on both devices and connect to the same network. The computer name will be automatically displayed in the mobile app.

In case the aforementioned method does not work you can link the devices via the QR code or PIN number instead. Alternatively, a USB cable can be used for the fast and stable connection.

Compatible smartphones include Galaxy S III and newer running at least Android 4. All Samsung tablets are supported as well. Please note that Galaxy S9 and later cannot be connected to a PC with this program. These devices require the Samsung Flow utility instead.
