SHOUTcast DNAS is a Windows program that allows you to set up an online or a local network radio station. Please note, you can control it only via the SHOUTcast DSP plugin for Winamp.

Purpose

Creating a radio station is not an easy task but there are a few tools that you may use to quickly start broadcasting your favorite songs. Among them is SHOUTcast DNAS, as it aims to provide all the necessary instruments to help you create your own radio in a short amount of time.

Deployment and configuration

After installation, you can go to the software directory and open the Setup executable. Thanks to the included Configuration Builder, you have the option to choose either Basic or Advanced mode. The first one enables you to set up a basic server and transcoder which broadcasts the song from your playlist. The application also supports calendar events and live capture, however these functions can only be accessed, if you pick the Advanced mode.

It is necessary to note that all the modifications you make may be backed up and restored whenever needed. What is more, the Configuration Builder has a dedicated Reset button you can press to revert to the default settings.
