SH3 Commander is a modification for Silent Hunter III. It allows you to adjust deck gun reloading times and customize a wide range of other gameplay mechanics. Moreover, there are tools for adding random malfunctions and sabotage events to the mission.

How to install

After downloading the provided executable file users are instructed to run it to set up the mod. The 1.4 version of the original game is necessary for the correct functioning of all new features. Additionally, it is recommended to install the Hsie and Stiebler patches before starting the game.

There are other utilities such as WinHex for modifying basically any game by manually editing internal memory values.

Customization options

You can change the default U Boat crush depth, tune the fatigue levels of the crew and personalize a wide range of other gameplay features. There are flexible instruments for creating new scenarios with unique mission objectives and environment parameters.

The water clarity is adjustable. This is helpful for designing custom levels with multiple different zones. Users are able to control the wave height.

It is possible to simulate a realistic career length and use historic U boat availability dates. The number of days spent at the base can be changed as well.
