Security Monitor Pro is a Windows software for organizing and managing video surveillance systems. You can configure motion detection parameters, automatically record suspicious activity and specify several email addresses for alerts.

Camera configuration

This application allows users to add new devices by clicking the corresponding button in the main window. There is support for most common webcams and IP cameras from all major manufacturers such as D-Link, Sisco, Siemens, Vision, etc. Compatible hardware is detected automatically. Users are able to manually select the device from the drop-down menu if it was not recognized properly. Like in SmartPSS, it is possible to specify the IP address, port and credentials for accessing remote network cameras.

Video preview settings include the resolution and the displayed name. There are checkboxes for rotating the picture and automatically resizing it to fit the window.

Available actions

You can configure what will be done upon detecting the motion in the video feed. Provided options include video recording, email notifications, SMS alerts and audio signal. Moreover, you are able to automatically launch any third-party application upon triggering the alarm. The motion detection sensitivity level is adjustable in the Settings menu for avoiding false events.

Please note that Security Monitor Pro is a paid utility. There is a trial version with limited capabilities that can be evaluated for free.
