ScanSnap is a Windows app that lets users scan documents and photos. It is compatible with several models of Ricoh devices. Tools for changing the output file format are available. Moreover, there are flexible document managing options.

Scan settings

You can adjust the resolution and input paper size before beginning the operation. Additionally, an option to select a custom area to save time is provided. It is possible to preview the image by scanning it in low quality as well.

There are instruments for quickly creating PDFs by combining scanned pages. Alternatively, users are able to save the results as JPG images, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations.

OCR

The integrated optical character recognition module allows you to automatically convert scanned pages to editable text. Tools for correcting mistakes and reformatting the paragraphs are included.

Document management

Like in Rack2 Filer, users can organize all scanned files into folders and subfolders for easier navigation. There is an option to add custom tags and keywords for quick search as well. This makes it easy to locate the required document in a large archive.
