Savant Web Server is a Windows program for transforming your desktop into a server. It is used by thousands of web developers worldwide. There is support for HTTP/1.1, CGI/1.1, WinCGI, ISAPI, SSI, password protection and custom MIME types. The utility has a low memory footprint and can run on any computer with at least 8 MB of RAM.

Server configuration

There is a graphical interface for adjusting various internal parameters and monitoring the operations. Users can utilize the built in FTP client for uploading files to a remote location. Flexible plugin architecture is intended for extending the server functionality with third party modules.

Supported technologies

You are able to create persistent HTTP connections and traffic pipelines. It is possible to enable chuck encoding as well. The CGI module contains instruments for dynamic content generation.

This application supports the PHP scripting language for web development. Users can interact with SQL databases and other web services. Additionally, there are tools for encrypting all communications between the server and the client to ensure data privacy.
