S Tools is a Windows application for protecting confidential information. You can transfer data secretly in a form of a common BMP or GIF image file or masked as a WAV song. This method is called steganography.

How it works

After starting the software users can open any supported photo or audio track. It is possible to display main image properties like the dimensions, color depth and compression attributes. Users are able to access the amount of channels, frequency and sample resolution for audio files.

The next step is to import the sensitive item that has to be hidden. To do so, you can drag and drop it into the workspace. Several encryption algorithms such as IDEA, DES, Triple DES and MDC are available. You are prompted to enter a personal passphrase for securing hidden information.

Users can right-click on the image or audio track and select Save to export protected data. The resulting file looks like a standard photo or song.

Please note that S Tools does not support the P7S encryption format. There are other apps such as P7S Viewer for working with such data.

Decryption

To reveal hidden contents you are instructed to open an encrypted file in the program and enter the passphrase. Protected information will immediately become available.
