RISAsection is a Windows application for analyzing structural characteristics of metal and concrete construction beams. It is possible to rotate and resize the 3D model of a section to view it from all sides. Please note that the free trial version of RISAsection will stop functioning 10 days after activation.

Calculation process

After starting the utility users can import a DXF file created in AutoCAD or another similar program. The model is analyzed automatically. All calculated properties are displayed on the right side of the main window. The list includes characteristics like area, inertia, flange thickness, elasticity, torsional power, shear center and many other technical attributes.

Shape library

There is a template collection for designing custom construction elements. Basic geometrical shapes such as rectangles, circles, hexagons and arcs are available. Moreover, you can use provided steel and concrete beam designs. It is possible to resize and distort any component to better fit the project.

The software supports integration with several other engineering programs. Users can export shapes to RISA-3D for member code checks.
