This graphics editor aims to simulate the realistic behavior and appearance of different paints and brushes. It is oriented toward aspiring and professional artists.
Rebelle
Rebelle is a Windows software for digital painting. There is a wide variety of drawing tools for imitating traditional media like watercolors, acrylics, oils, pastels, etc. Users can manually control the wetness, viscosity and drying time of each paint type.
Painting process
You are able to draw with stencils, blowers, sponges, palette knives, water splashes, brushes and other instruments. Additionally, it is possible to create multiple custom presets for future use.
There is a physics based engine that mimics the way real paints interact with each other and with the canvas. Users can see how the paints blend, flow, dry and react to gravity or tilt.
Advanced functionality
This utility allows you to create multiple layers and masks in the same image. Like in Paintstorm Studio, flexible adjustment tools for fine tuning the hue, saturation, color temperature, brightness and contrast of the painting are provided.
Users can utilize the DropEngine feature to create realistic water drops on the canvas. There are instruments for drawing accurate perspective lines and grids as well.
Finished pictures can be exported to several common file formats, including PNG, JPG, PSD, BMP and TIFF. The output quality and dimensions are customizable.
