RAWTherapee is a program for Windows that gives you the ability to edit photographs taken with a digital camera. It provides a considerable amount of tools and is intended for professional use.

Photo manager

After launching the application, you are able to select a picture for processing. Thanks to the in-built file manager and automatic image search functionality, you can easily import the desired items. Moreover, it is possible to edit not only source files in RAW format, but also pictures with JPG or PNG extension.

Advanced editor

With the help of the software, you have the ability to crop the image as well as select the desired aspect ratio and resolution. You can adjust the level of illumination, brightness, saturation and contrast. In addition, the utility allows you to customize the color profile.

For ease of editing, you have the option to zoom in on individual sections. It is possible to toggle the comparison mode and preview the processing result along with the original image. The function of creating different profiles is also available. Thus, you are able to quickly edit pictures and apply a predefined set of parameters.

Edit metadata and save

What is more, you can add metadata, including a description, title and author’s name. After making all the required changes to your project, you may save the image in JPG, TIFF or PNG formats. Alternatively, you may use a plugin for Photoshop called Adobe Camera Raw.
