Rational Rose is a Windows utility that allows you to design complex informational systems. There are object-oriented development instruments for composing overall functional schemes without code dependencies. The Unified Modeling Language technology is supported.

Model creation

It is recommended to plan all system elements before writing the programming code. Additionally, users can specify links between separate objects and classes for designing detailed models. Tools for creating functional and algorithmic schemes are provided.

Templates

There is a library of premade system layouts for speeding up the design process. It is possible to modify them by adding new elements and connections. You can automatically check the integrity of the scheme to quickly detect and correct potential errors.

After finishing the project planning users can start Visual Studio or another similar program to begin writing the code.

Please note that Rational Rose is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The UML language is obsolete and rarely utilized for planning modern business processes.
