QZ Tray
QZ Tray is a Windows application that installs an add-on for popular browsers such as Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Similar to EPSON OPOS ADK, it contains instruments for printing various types of documents on a thermal printer. Supported file formats include PDF, PNG, HTML, PCL, ESC/POS, EPL, ZPL, SBPL and FGL3.
Main purpose
This is a useful tool for printing labels, barcodes, receipts and other information without installing any system drivers. It allows you to directly communicate with printers and other popular types of hardware like digital scales and shop registers via USB, serial or socket connection.
There is support for Edge, Safari, Chrome, Firefox and other common browsers. Thermal printers manufactured by Zebra, SATO, Epson, Citizen, Star, Boca and Dymo are compatible with the app.
Web interface
After installing the program users can open the provided sample HTML file in the default browser to study all available options. There are tabs for raw and pixel-perfect printing. Additionally, it is possible to configure advanced serial port settings like baud rate, parity, flow control and encoding.
