QVR Pro Client is a Windows utility that lets users view the surveillance footage recorded to the NAS devices from QNAP. It is possible to configure the video settings as well.

Setting up

This tool is a part of the QVR Pro software suite for organizing the security system based on the QNAP proprietary technology. A server program has to be installed on the compatible NAS hard drive to control the cameras over the network.

To view the recorded video files and adjust the surveillance settings you can use the client app. Entering a username and password is necessary to access the interface.

Main functionality

Users are able to add new surveillance equipment to the list. Wideangle, fisheye and 360-degree cameras are supported. The icons next to the device name indicate the recording errors and connection status.

The digital map of the facility can be uploaded to the server for easier camera management. There is support for SVG, JPG and PNG file formats.

There are tools for downloading the video files from a NAS. To trim and edit the footage you can utilize Pinnacle Studio Editor 10.

The main window contains the direction buttons to remotely move the camera. Zoom controls are provided. Moreover, you can manually adjust the focus to make the image sharper.

The playback options include rewinding and fast-forwarding the video. It is possible to go through a clip frame by frame as well.
