QuickLOAD is a Windows program that contains detailed information about various types of gun bullets such as the cartridge length, seating depth and groove caliber. The included catalog contains thousands of real life ammunition items. It is important to mention that the free demo version of QuickLOAD offers you limited access to the database.

Bullet properties

After starting the application users can choose the required ammo type from the drop down menu. Additionally, there is an option to select the cartridge variant. Checkboxes for indicating the friction proofed or hollow base bullet are included as well.

You are able to view detailed information about the length of the casing, cartridge, barrel and the bullet itself. Moreover, the exact values for the required groove caliber and cross sectional bore area are provided. Similar to PipeData PRO, all data is available in both the Imperial and metric measurement units.

Propellants

There is a library of gun powders with technical specifications like the explosion heat, burning rate factor, propellant solid density and shot start pressure.

Upon selecting the necessary ammunition types and adjusting their properties users can simulate the gunshot and calculate approximate values for the muzzle pressure, projectile energy and ballistic efficiency.
