With the help of this application you can create complex 3D models for video games in a unique pixelated style. There is a collection of standard geometric shapes.
Qubicle
Qubicle is a Windows 3D graphics editor oriented toward game designers. It supports custom color palettes and multi-layer images. All objects are built from individual cubic blocks called voxels. Users can add, delete, move or colorize any element. It is worth noting that the free trial version of Qubicle contains limited functionality.
How it works
The main window contains a toolbar with various drawing instruments such as pencil, eraser and paint bucket. Additionally, there are tools for adding new blocks, spheres, pyramids, cones and cylinders to the model. Every component can be distorted and resized to better fit the design.
Buttons for mirroring the object in the X, Y or Z axis are included. Moreover, there are options for flipping and rotating the model. You are able to mask specific components to prevent the editing of selected voxels.
Export
Users can render resulting 3D objects and save them as FBX, DAE, OBJ or STL files for further editing in Blender or another similar utility. Flexible mesh parameters such as voxel size, unit scale factor and texture material type are available. It is possible to export models as sequences of PNG images as well.
