QTranslate is a Windows application for translating words, sentences and whole paragraphs to a wide variety of languages. Users are able to access multiple popular online services such as Google Translate, PROMT and Babylon. Resulting text can be copied to the system clipboard.

Translation process

After starting the software you are instructed to enter or paste the source text into the input field at the top of the main window. There are powerful spell checking capabilities. Alternatively, words can be dictated with your voice.

The next step is to select the input and target languages in case they were not detected automatically. Users can switch between several online translation services to achieve the best results. It is important to mention that the internet connection is necessary for the correct functioning of the app.

Configuration

You are able to copy translated content to the clipboard or save it to the Favorites list. Instruments for adjusting the font size and style are included. Additionally, it is possible to change the visual interface theme. There is an option to select which online translation services are displayed on the main toolbar as well.

The integrated dictionary provides detailed definitions for new terms. Users can utilize the onscreen keyboard for text entry. Finally, there are tools for identifying and translating text on images with the help of the embedded optical character recognition module.
