PumpKIN is a program for Windows that relies on the TFTP protocol to move files across multiple computers connected via a private network. General notes

One of the lesser known protocols, called Trivial File Transfer Protocol, provides a convenient method of moving data across the network. It is commonly used for performing firmware upgrades and other maintenance tasks. Please note, the TFTP requires a server and a client to function, similar to the FTP.

Among the software solutions that utilize this protocol, there is PumpKIN. Transferring and accepting files through this application takes only a few clicks. So, it is more important to configure the remote host and make it willing to accept the requests.

Advanced configuration

It is necessary to mention that the TFTP protocol is rarely used for person to person transfers. However, if you want to manually send or receive files, the utility offers the needed features. in the Options menu, you can specify the filesystem root that will serve as the download path and also allow access to subfolders.

Additionally, you have the option to configure the read and write request behavior to notify you before giving or accepting files, deny all requests or prompt if the item already exists.
