Protege is a Windows program for developing and modifying apps based on the ontology principles. You can integrate the output code with various rule lists and other problem solving modules for constructing flexible intelligent systems.

Overview

This integrated development environment offers users an interface for creating multiple ontologies in a single workspace. There are powerful visualization tools for easier relationship navigation. Users can automatically detect and fix errors and code inconsistencies. Advanced refactoring operations such as ontology merging, moving axioms to different sections and batch renaming of multiple entities are supported.

Additional capabilities

Instruments for handling disjointed sections, defining class creation parameters and converting IDs to labels are included. Moreover, you can write code in the OWL programming language. Similar to PyScripter, syntax highlighting, autocompletion and expression history options are included.

Users are able to analyze ontologies from various angles as well as remove, add and clone separate components. Keyboard shortcuts for quickly accessing various functions can be customized.
