ProShow Gold is a Windows application for constructing slideshows from photos and video clips. A wide variety of file formats is supported including AVI, MPG, WMV, MOV, FLV, 3GP, etc. It is possible to burn the project to an optical disc or share the results on social media.

Design process

After starting the utility you can import media files by dragging and dropping them into the main window. Additionally, there is an option to add images from the included collection. All slideshow elements are displayed in the chronological order on the timeline at the bottom.

The next step is to add text descriptions, special visual effects and transitions. There are filters for enhancing the photos by correcting the contrast, brightness, color temperature and other parameters.

Users are able to add a soundtrack or voiceover to the video. The final project can be previewed before saving.

It is worth noting that ProShow Gold is an obsolete software and no longer supported by the developer. You can try a more modern slideshow editor such as Ulead Photo Express.

Export options

It is possible to create an executable file that contains the slideshow. No additional software is required to play this item on any Windows computer. Alternatively, there is an option to save the project as an MPEG4, WMV or AVI video file. The bitrate and quality parameters are available. Moreover, users can quickly share the slideshow on various social media platforms like Youtube, Vimeo and Facebook.
