ProRat

ProRat is a Windows-based backdoor program that allows you to remotely control another computer over both Wi-Fi and wired Internet connection. It features a simple graphical user interface with all available options grouped in a single window.

ProRat is a powerful utility, more commonly known as Remote Administration Tool. As with other software of this type its operation relies on a client and server. It opens a port on the remote computer which allows you to perform numerous operations on the machine being controlled like create, open, close and delete files. It is possible to monitor visited websites and retrieve system information.

Moreover, you are able to view usernames and passwords in the following messaging applications:

• ICQ;
• MSN Messenger;
• NetMeeting;
• Outlook Express;
• Yahoo! Messenger.

Safety measures

Please note, due to the nature of this software, the user’s own privacy is not protected by default. It is advisable you cover your webcam as it can be activated without the indicator light switched on. In addition, this program is known for its server which can only be removed with various up-to-date antivirus tools like Anvi Smart Defender. For this reason, it is distributed primarily for scientific purposes. It is not recommended you use this utility to remotely control computers of other users without their consent.
