Powtoon is a web-based Windows program for making video clips and digital presentations. There is a graphics editor for working with pictures, text inscriptions and other elements. Finished projects can be exported to several common file formats for further editing in third-party applications such as Photoshop or PowerPoint.

Project types

This web app allows users to create short animated explainers, whiteboard videos, presentations, marketing materials and branded characters. Moreover, there are tools for capturing the input from a webcam or recording the contents of the screen. It is possible to convert any PowerPoint presentation to a video file as well.

You can choose one of the included visual templates to start the project. The collection contains hundreds of unique styles suited for viewing on both mobile and desktop screens. Please note that some templates are distributed on a commercial basis.

Graphics editor

After selecting the style users are able to manually modify every frame of the presentation. Right-clicking on any element in the workspace brings up the context menu with editing options. Additionally, there are instruments for animating static components and creating dynamic scenes.
