Portal Gun is an impressive mod for Minecraft that offers various items based on the popular video game franchise developed by Valve. Basically, you are able to use portal guns, weighted cubes, beams, turrets, and more.

General notes

The portal gun comes in a few different colors and can create portals corresponding to its markings. In order to make them, you need to press either the left or right mouse button. Please note that portals cannot be placed on transparent blocks. If an invalid location is selected, there is a small particle effect to notify you. To reset portals, you have to press the R key while holding the gun.

Kinds of cubes

In simple terms, a storage cube is an entity, which may be used on pressure plates and interacted with by other in-game objects. Companion cubes can be crafted by combining a storage block with a rose in the grid. Moreover, you have the ability to smelt them into the music disk that contains different songs from the game.

Turrets

Turrets are another interesting feature of this mod. Basically, they are hostile to all entities except the player. Turrets shoot laser tracking beams from the central part of their body. When they are bumped or hit, the machines will rotate or move. In case you deactivate the turret, it will make the same noises as in the Portal games. If you want to add new dungeons, enemies and boss battles, you may use another modpack called The Twilight Forest.
