Plot control is a Windows web service for developing and structuring screenplays. You are able to define the basic theme, create complex characters and add multiple plot elements to the story. It is important to mention that Plot control is a paid platform. There is no free trial version.

Storytelling tools

The Start Here section lets users input answers to several basic questions and quickly generate a new project. It is possible to refine the theme in the Story Triangulation tab.

Like in Movie Outline, you can develop the relationships between your protagonist, antagonist and other characters. The Core Elements panel is intended for fleshing out the details of all major plot points such as the inciting incident, first act break, midpoint and the climax.

There are instruments for adding information bubbles to the project. This functionality is helpful for leaving reminders and personal notes.

Script structure

It is recommended to split large screenplays into several acts. Users are able to place all plot elements on a timeline in chronological order as the story develops. An option to automatically convert the script to the industry standard format is provided as well.
