PKG Linker is a Windows tool for loading the game images and other applications to a CFW/HAN enabled PS3. This method lets users get around the 4 Gb filesize limitation.

Main functionality

This software is helpful for transferring the files to any compatible Playstation 3. There is a web server utility installed alongside the main app. It replaces the official Sony website as a content source and helps you to bypass the system protection.

Users are able to install large packages with this app. The data is transferred over the network, so there is no 4 Gb size restriction that exists in external FAT32 storage devices.

All available PKG archives are displayed in the main window. You can click the Rescan button for refreshing the list. It is necessary to start the server to begin copying files to the console.

It is worth mentioning that PKG Linker cannot convert the save data to work on a different PlayStation 3. There is another tool for this purpose called PS3 Save Resigner.

Additional settings

Users can specify a custom IP address and port for connecting to the included Apache server. A tool for pinging the console to check its network status is provided as well. Moreover, the interface color scheme can be adjusted.
