PICO 2000 is a security program for Windows that provides you with the means of setting up a video surveillance system without any extra effort, since all you need is a webcam. The app serves as a convenient solution for recording and monitoring any space. In order to run it you will need the PICO 200 Driver controller, which is included in the package.

Brief review

The utility allows you to toggle capture mode and record constantly, or opt for motion sensitive mode and do that only when some activity is detected. Thus, the operation requires software and hardware to work in cooperation.

You can create a surveillance system with up to sixteen remote and local cameras. It is possible to record video and audio in Indeo5, MPEG4, MJPEG and DivX. Moreover, you have the option to tweak warning and alarm notifications.

Functionality

The graphical user interface is streamlined and intuitive, ensuring access to all available functions. You have the ability to view and record footage from all cameras simultaneously. The application supports up to six frames per second per channel when several devices are connected to one machine.

The limit for one camera one PC setup is higher, at twenty five frames. It is necessary to mention that you are able to pick from several display modes, such as full screen, split screen, control mode, and auto-switching channels.
