Pianito MicroStudio is a Windows software that lets you play various virtual musical instruments. It is possible to adjust the sound volume and tone. Buttons for changing the octave are available.

Brief overview

After starting the utility you can browse the instrument collection and select one of the provided options. There are several piano and guitar variations, drums, flutes, organs, etc. Similar to ChordPulse, all chords are displayed in the main window in real time when you are playing the melody. This functionality is useful for learning musical notation.

Song recording

Users are able to quickly switch between the drums and synth modes. Volume and tone sliders are available. There is a button for recording a new sample melody in one of the eight quick access slots.

It is possible to map the keyboard to any of the included MIDI and percussion instruments for interactive play. You can use the auto-chord option for improving the sound.

There are tools for exporting the resulting song to the WAV or MP3 file format. Alternatively, users are able to create MIDI files with several tracks.
