Parted Magic is a Windows software for configuring storage device partitions. Users can resize disk volumes and recover files from damaged hard drives. Included disk cloning module provides instruments for creating data backups and quickly restoring all information in the event of hardware failure.

Supported devices

This application is compatible with multiple popular file systems such as FAT32, NTFS, ext2, ext4, HFS and F2FS. You are able to move, copy, shrink and rename these partitions. Additionally, there is limited support for various Linux file systems like JFS and NILFS.

Users can work with IDE, SATA and SCSI hard drives. USB drives and SSDs are supported as well.

Please note that Parted Magic is distributed strictly on a commercial basis. There is no free trial version.

Partition management

Similar to EaseUS Partition Master, it is possible to expand the main system drive size. Moreover, tools for copying, moving and deleting separate logical volumes are provided. This functionality is helpful for organizing data on the hard drive.

Benchmarks

There are several included instruments for evaluating storage device performance. You can measure writing and reading speeds as well as test the surface to detect and remap damaged sectors.
