Parsons Technology Announcments is a program developed by Parsons Technology to work with Windows 95 and NT. Its main purpose is to facilitate the creation of cards, calendars, posters, banners, brochures and other graphic materials.

Setup and GUI

The application was created for older versions of Microsoft operating system. To run it on modern computers, you may try creating virtual machines with VirtualBox. Alternatively, you can launch a Windows 95 emulator.

Once started, the utility greets you with a standard graphical interface. The layout is simple to navigate and presents all available functions within top and bottom panels. The center of the screen is reserved for the working area.

Main capabilities

The main advantage of this program is the possibility to begin a new project by basing it off a preset template. You can select the type, namely Cards, Page Designs, Banners, Brochures, and Envelopes. Within each section you are provided with specific configuration options.

You have the flexibility to change the page settings for every project. The software enables you to save items with preferred extensions on your hard drive. You can also design graphic materials using another tool called The Print Shop Professional.
