PARAM SFO Editor is a Windows application for modifying the PS3 and PSP parameters. It is possible to convert any SFO files to the SFX format and vice versa.

Installation

Users can unpack the contents of the archive to any directory on the hard drive. There is a setup file for the Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime service that is necessary for the correct functioning of this utility. After installing the required system component users are instructed to run the included executable file for starting the program.

About SFO format

This standard is utilized for storing the PS3 and PSP console settings. Additionally, every game creates a separate SFO file that contains its specific parameters. You can edit these items to manually adjust advanced settings that are otherwise unavailable.

Please note that this software does not support reassigning save game files from one account to another. Users can download PS3 Save Resigner for this purpose.

Main capabilities

It is possible to import any SFO file into this utility by clicking the corresponding button. The title, category, console version and parental control settings are displayed automatically.

Audio format options are available. You are able to choose between several speaker configurations such as Dolby Digital, DTS, 5.1 and 7.1. There is a checkbox for allowing the background music.

Video resolution parameters are provided. This functionality is useful for playing on non-standard displays. Users can disable warning messages about the Move controller and Eye Cam.
