Panasonic SD Formatter is a Windows software for formatting memory cards. It is designed to optimize the performance and lifespan of the storage device by applying special algorithms. You are able to specify a new drive letter for the partition.

Main functionality

After starting the application users can choose the required memory card from the drop down menu. There is a Refresh button for detecting recently connected devices.

Details about the partition size and volume label are displayed in the main window. You are able to change the name of the drive. Additionally, it is possible to change the format type. Available options include Quick, Full (Erase) and Full (OverWrite). Flexible allocation unit size adjustment tools are provided as well. Please note that this setting can affect the speed and efficiency of data transfer. The Format button begins the operation.

Similar to SDFormatter, there is support for all popular file systems such as FAT, FAT32, exFAT and NTFS. Moreover, modern memory cards with large capacity are compatible with the program. The integrated error checking module automatically detects and fixes bad sectors to increase the longevity and performance of the storage device.
