Paint.NET is a special program for Windows that allows you to create professional-looking pictures. At the same time, the application was designed with ergonomics in mind. This means that it offers a multi-layer editing system, as well as a customizable and placement-adjustable panels and instruments.

General notes

When launching the utility for the first time, you will be greeted with a clean and streamlined graphical user interface. All commands, tools, painting instruments and editing features are located within the main panel.

The additional ones give you access to the editing history tab, color picker, etc. Please note, you also have the ability to lower their opacity or remove them from the context menu. What is more, you can adjust the layer properties and pick blending mode.

Create, edit and blend

With this program, you can edit photographs, blend in shapes from real pictures with hand drawings or illustrations, make collages and generate designs. For increased flexibility, you are able to change your brushes’ sensitivity, color, shape and texture.

Similar to Paint XP, this application enables you to change the metric options. So, you can choose between pixel view and centimeters or inches. In addition, there is a large variety of editing effects that may be customized and adjusted to your specific needs.
