OverDrive Media Console is a Windows application for downloading and organizing digital content from various OverDrive affiliated online sources such as a local library. There is support for several common file formats, including EPUB, PDF, MP3 and WMA. Please note that OverDrive Media Console is discontinued and no longer maintained by the developer.

Media collection

After starting the program you can import new files from the hard drive. Alternatively, it is possible to log into the personal account in the local library and browse available content. Downloaded ebooks, videos and audio tracks are automatically synchronized across all linked devices.

Users are instructed to double click the required item in the collection to open it. There are standard playback controls for audiobooks and songs. Similar to VLC Media Player, a volume slider and mute button are included.

Additional capabilities

An option to burn any file to a black optical disc is available. You can select the target drive and adjust the writing speed. Moreover, there are instruments for manually transferring digital content to a compatible portable device.
