Orbit is a Windows utility for downloading files from the web. There are tools for monitoring the clipboard and automatically adding URLs to the queue.

How it works

This software allows you to speed up the downloading process. The main window contains the list of files and the buttons for starting, pausing and stopping operations.

Users can add new URLs manually from the File menu. There is a tool for creating a batch download. This feature is helpful for getting multiple items from one website. It is possible to save the lists of download links in a special OLT format for transferring them to another computer.

All popular internet protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS and FTP are supported. The app automatically chooses the fastest server mirror. Speed limits and other network properties can be configured in the settings.

Additional capabilities

You are able to download any content from file sharing services such as RapidShare, Badongo, Depositfiles and Filefactory. There are instruments for grabbing the video from several popular hosting platforms.

This application offers users web browser plugins for deeper integration with Firefox, Opera and Chrome.

The proxy server settings are available. You can configure the host address, port and user credentials.
