Ookla is a Windows application that allows you to determine your network connection speed. With this utility, it is possible to test your channel and get information about latency. Similar to SpeedConnect Internet Accelerator, this program features a simple interface and helps identify network access issues in time.

Testing

Please note that the program does not require registration to operate. Upon launching, users simply need to click the “Start” button on the home page. Then, the software will automatically determine your location and display information about the provider.

Next, network channel testing will begin. During the diagnostic process, it is not recommended to upload or download data. Thus, you can get objective information about the speed of data transmission.

After the test is completed, you can check the latency time as well as the receiving and sending speeds details. It is possible to copy the diagnostic results link to the clipboard and share it via email.

Journal

The program saves information about all previous tests in a journal. There is an option to view the highest and average data transmission speeds over the entire period of usage. You can obtain additional information about the location and delete entries from the log.
