NullDC is an open source Windows emulator for running Dreamcast video games.

Purpose

The software is developed specifically for emulating SEGA back catalog titles. It is favored by vintage enthusiasts because it is compatible with a wide variety of classic games like Shenmue, Soul Calibur, Jet Set Radio and others. Thanks to its advanced processing components they look even better than on the original console.

Requirements

To work successfully the program requires DirectX 9.0c and Visual C++ runtime libraries as well as BIOS files. It has a plugin architecture that allows users to configure the utility to read games on CD-ROMs or disk images and memory cards. By default the software utilizes .CDI files for emulation.

Configuration

The application utilizes an interactive menu to present various games that can be run with it. You have an option to connect a controller via USB connection or configure the keyboard buttons in the settings. It is worth noting that the tool provides plugins for different input devices. Similar to other emulators like xemu, the utility allows you to increase the game resolution, change aspect ratio and toggle Vsync.
