Nudi is a program for Windows created for typing Kannada scripts by writers, journalists, students, and other types of users. This solution provides an intuitive graphical interface and a wide array of features to enable efficient communication in this language.

General notes

The main purpose of this software is to assist you in writing in the Kannada language. The project was developed by Kagapa, a non profit organization, and funded by the Karnataka government. The current version is based on Unicode and incorporates AutoHotKey scripting.

Setup and operation

To deploy the software, you need to launch the installer and follow the instructions to set it up on your computer. Following this procedure, you can find the icon on your desktop or within the applications folder and double click it to launch.

After starting the program and choosing the keyboard layout, you can begin typing in Kannada. Your keystrokes will be automatically converted into appropriate characters and displayed on the screen as you type. To design layouts for Perso Arabic languages, you may try a tool like InPage.
