NOZZLE is a Windows app oriented toward professional engineers in various fields like aerospace and automobile manufacturing. It provides a large library of convergent divergent, bell shaped and plug nozzle geometries.
Nozzle design
Users can import custom 3D objects from various CAD applications like AutoCAD. Alternatively, it is possible to manually configure all project parameters.
The program can be used for creating aircraft and rocket engines as well as for designing gas or steam turbines. Moreover, you are able to plan fire protection systems for chemical processing plants. Tools for developing irrigation and drainage nozzles are included as well.
Please note that NOZZLE is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.
Optimization
There are several flow solvers for predicting the performance of a custom nozzle system, including Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes and Large Eddy Simulation. Moreover, you are able to model the effects of heat transfer, turbulence and compressibility. This functionality is helpful for optimizing the nozzle geometry for a given set of requirements.
