NetScaler Gateway is a Windows utility for allowing local network clients to access any device through a simple URL. There is support for several gateway appliances manufactured by Citrix.

Device configuration

Users can run multiple virtual servers on Citrix gateway hardware to create different internal policies depending on required security restrictions. Every instance has its own IP address, digital certificate and rule set.

There is an option to integrate a second identical Citrix device into the network for ensuring high availability and uninterrupted workflow. If the primary appliance fails, the spare gateway will automatically pick up its duties.

It is worth noting that NetScaler Gateway does not contain instruments for rerouting the traffic through a remote proxy server. You can use Proxifier or another similar app for this purpose.

Supported authentication methods

It is possible to log into the system via the Local LDAP, RADIUS, SAML or using a custom client certificate. Users are able to toggle two-factor authentication and password cascading to protect the network even further.

Endpoint analysis

Instruments for monitoring remote clients and evaluating their security status are included. You can analyze all active files, registry entries, processes and operating system settings. This functionality is helpful for preventing the installation of unauthorized software products on individual workstations.
