NetMeter is a powerful bandwidth monitoring program for Windows that shows network traffic in real time.

Purpose

Inbound and outbound network traffic is primarily quantified in bandwidth usage. The use of too much bandwidth leads to low download and upload speed. If you want to keep track of these parameters, you can use NetMeter. With this application you are able to seamlessly monitor your online activity in terms of traffic speed.

Brief review

The graphical user interface is minimalistic. The main window contains a graph that displays the current traffic in the network. The download speed is highlighted in red, while the upload speed appears in green. It is also possible to view the maximum accepted speed.

Advanced functions

Similar to NetPerSec, Users may also access this program via the system tray. There, they can explore various additional functions by right-clicking the app icon. From the Options menu, you can select the network interface, configure graphing settings and preferences related to notifications.

Another interesting feature is the Totals and Reports section. In that tab, the utility allows you to view the exact amount of data transferred by day, week, month and total. The information includes upload and download, as well as peak and average speed. It is necessary to note that you are able to export the report in CVS format.
