Navifirm is a Windows program that allows you to search and install the latest firmware version on your Nokia mobile device. Please note, at the time of writing this review the developers ceased support for the servers. But, if you own a Samsung device, you may use SamFirm for the same purposes.

Portable tool

Since this is a portable application, it is important to mention that it does not leave any traces in the Windows registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other removable storage unit and take it with you whenever you need to update your Nokia device.

Brief review

This software comes with an intuitive graphical interface that both rookies and experts are able to find the appropriate phone model. Moreover, by hovering the mouse cursor over each entry they are able to see a picture of the corresponding device. Thus, it is possible to search for their mobile phone relying solely on images. What is more, each of these pictures displays additional details like product type, core platform or flash sequences.

Firmware versions and exporting options

Depending on the phone model, several firmware versions might be available. It is recommended you choose the variant that is compatible with your specific device. Additionally, you are able to save the full list of all available versions and export it as a TXT file.

It is also worth mentioning that each available firmware update may include several files. However, not all of them are needed for successful installation. So, expert skills are required to determine which items are necessary or not.
