Mystcraft is an impressive modification for Minecraft that allows you to explore new dimensions, called Ages. The core of the gameplay revolves around crafting mystical books capable of teleporting you to different time periods. There are a near unlimited amount of combinations, so you can experiment until you find the best one.

Essential instruments

The mod gives you the ability to to travel to mystical ages and design your own. To get started, you need to craft a few blocks and items, namely an Ink Mixer, Book Binder, Ink Vials and a Bookstand. These are basic equipment pieces you require, but you will want more as you progress. You may use vanilla Minecraft items, such as Glass, Wood, and Iron, as well as Paper which is obtained from Sugar Cane.

Crafting books

In order to create custom descriptive books which are used to access new locations, you have to find Temples that contain special symbols with different properties. You can combine them in a variety of ways and get unique results. Please note that once crafted, such an item cannot be changed, and the symbols that compose it cannot be retrieved. You are also able to make linking books that help you to set shortcuts, providing you a way back once you decide to go to this age.
